Why pay more and get less. So far, so good. Simply put, this e-bike exceeded my expectations. This is my first e-bike and I wasn't sure what to expect. My wife and sister did a trial e-bike rental for a beach ride and was pretty surprised at how fun it was. I'm a regular mountain biker, hybrid rider and wanted something to have some fun on and ride with my wife on longer trail explorations. This is absolutely the ticket. If your reading this and you are curious if this is the right bike for you, it ultimately comes down to what you are looking for.I wanted good quality and performance at a reasonable price. This checked those boxes and then some. As many others have said, you could pay 4000+ for a Conondale, Specialized, Trek, etc. or you could pay $1900 for this and get more for less. Sure, if you are looking to impress your yoga buddies, then buy the overpriced version and slip into your local espresso shop to show off. But if you are like me and want to impress yourself and save a few thousand of your hard earned dollars, buy a FreeSky.Now admittedly, its all up to FreeSky to deliver on the quality over time. I will be updating this review if the bike craps out prematurely, but as for solidness and performance, yaaa, about that.I purchased the Swift Horse a few weeks back. My wife got the Wildcat. I've only been on a handful of rides to push the limits but the power and performance are clear. I've had it up to 35mph several times with ease in PAS 5 and gear 7. Let me tell you that unless you have a death wish, you don't need anymore power. I've taken it up several steep grade hills at 20mph with ease in PAS 3 and pedaling like I'm doing a easy workout on a stationary bike. Its just smooth and powerful. I've been on the road, some gravel, some trails and like the performance on all. However, if you are looking for the nimble control on tight trails like you might challenge on an intermediate+ MTB trail, this might let you down. I mean, it handles great but its no replacement for that gritty technical enduro ride. However, its skill a kick in the arse. This is not a knock, but a serious consideration. One challenge to make sure you are prepared for the weight of the bike. Solid? Definitely! Heavy? Definitely. They weigh just over 100lbs. This is not a light bike that you will be routinely slinging onto a traditional bike rack and hauling down the road to a trail. In fact, I purchased a Black Widow motorcycle hitch carrier that we will be using to load our bikes onto, with a little ramp for on/off loading that we will strap them down on for travel. I read too many stories online about people being heartbroken watching their $2000 ebike bounce down the highway after cheap welds broke on standard bike carriers. Besides, I just dont have the back and youth anymore to hoist those up/off of a bike rack.Other than that, this bike is a beast and the dual suspension makes for smooth riding. It also coasts/glides well, even faster than my regular mountain bike which is way lighter. As for battery, time will tell for sure but after several 11-12 mile rides pushing it pretty good, it has barely touched the battery meter. So I can see getting at least 50 miles without issue. After I push that limit, I will update my post.As for customer service, hope I never need to use it. However, the contact pre/post sales so far is excellent. Shipping was fast within 4 days because they were in stock.FreeSky, if you are reading this. Keep up the great work and you better stand behind these bikes! That's it for now, hope that helps.
Amazing Bike!! 👍. After a very long research I decided to give Freesky a try and I gotta say. IM REALLY IMPRESSED!!. The bike came in very well packaged and as soon as you pull it out the box you feel the weight and how solid this thing is you know you got quality. It surprised me that it came with the battery already fully charged and with easy instructions on how to assemble it. After getting it all put together decided to take it right away on a 10 mile ride with the wife around our city and after 10 miles on pedal assist that baterry didn't go down one bit. Super fast. But BE CAREFUL when you take it the first time amd WATCH where the PAS ( pedal assist) level is at because if you're not used to electric bikes as soon as you pedal IT WILL TAKE OFF LIKE A ROCKET no joke. Make sure the PAS mode is all the way down to 1 or even 0 until you get used to the weight of it.. also be careful when turning around because again a quick push of the pedal will make this thing launch on you and you can lose control if not careful. It's really powerful and the torque will throw you off if you're not ready for it. Overall amazing bike. I'm very pleased. Worth every penny. 👍
Our Second Bike from FREESKY. This is our second bike, we got the first bike a little while ago, and it has been great! The battery seems to last forever, and it has all the features that you need for riding on street or on rough terrain. We have some other bikes but they pale in comparison; this has the bigger tires, front AND back shocks, it is comfortable to ride and makes hills disappear. It is built like a brick house, solid and well constructed but not so heavy at the end of the day; the display is bright and easy to use.All I can say is that I loved it so much, I had to get another. With all the choices out there, it is good to have a solid product at a fair price, a good company and good support behind it, fast delivery, good price and value for the money.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Better get one before they are all sold out!Have fun and be safe out there!
This bike is amazing. I rarely write reviews, but this bike is amazing.First, it’s packed very well; you should plan on 45 minutes to assemble it but it was very easy to put together. The quality of this bike is more premium than I expected and I was pleasantly surprised to see the graphics were better than the photos online show. The tires came fully inflated, the battery was fully charged and I was happy to see I can simply open a rubber grommet along the downtube and plug it in to charge it. The battery is both loxated in the down tube and secured by both a twist latch and a keyed lock so it can not be taken. The hydraulic brakes came well dialed-in with no adjustment needed and the shocks came set at a reasonable staring point with an easy adjustment knob. The bike is fairly heavy which is probably part of the reason it rides so smooth. The E acceleration is simple to use, intuitive and easy to counter when you need to slow down. The rubber control pad is easy to use also with clear buttons it is locked conveniently within finger reach along the left handlebar. The led display is adjustable by viewing angle and has simply to navigate choices on the screen. The cables came pre-sorted and zipped together for a no hassle assembly. There were extra zip ties provided but I didn’t think they were needed anywhere. The seat is both adjustable in height and also forward and backwards as well. The bike comes with plastic adjustable fenders for both the front and rear tires; I decided I didn’t need them since I rarely ride over wet areas. The kickstand is mounted at the left rear, out of the way but it firmly supports the bike.I have to say the battery lasts a surprisingly long time, even when I experiment with barley pedaling. This bike is an absolute pleasure to ride.I can think of two minor improvements that could be made. The display is not as bright in the sunlight as I would prefer and the provided chain lock is too short to route the lock through the frame, front tire and a rack/something.All in it is exceptional.
Enjoying using my new E bike.
Had interface problem but was fixed easily thru email with product support.

VERY fast -- potentially illegally fast. Smooth, thrilling ride. The media could not be loaded.  If you have never ridden an eBike before, or even if you have, when the motor is 750W, you are going to FEEL it. The acceleration becomes so fast, but smooth, you may feel dirty about how fast it got to 15mph+.I have tested over a handful of electric bikes -- from foldable small-wheel ones that I refer to as "Clown bikes" to cruisers, mountains, and thin and fat tires. Each has its pros and cons. All have one thing in common, however: I look for the below features in an electric bicycle.- Decent motor to aid with steep inclines- 7 or 21 speeds/gears for tackling difficult, uphill climbs- Pedal Assist System (PAS)- Easy to get on/off for a woman in her 60s- Comfortable ride with shock suspension- Fat tires for more balance and control- Detachable, large battery for long rides and convenient chargingThe MultiJoy Spaniel EB260 Foldable Electric Bike checked every box I was looking for, EXCEPT: its max speed was listed as 26mph. This could be an issue because federal and State law (at least where I live) prohibit eBikes going over 20mph unless they are classified for higher speeds.WHY AN EBIKE?Electric bicycles have allowed our family to go longer distances with far lower risk of cramping that would have made for a PAINFUL ride home. The motorized assistance on the uphill climbs and during the final return miles with tired legs had been a welcome blessing!ANALYSISMultiJoy's 26" Electric Bike (Spaniel EB260) immediately hit me with its quality build. The shipping box arrived partially damaged, but the content was perfectly fine -- most likely because of the large use of protective styrofoam. The bike's 75+ lbs made it the heaviest electric bicycle I had ever tested, but there was a reason for that: largest battery and stronger motor.Assembly was straight-forward: all I had to do was attach the pedals, fenders, front wheel/disc brake, and done. Nothing else needed to be set up, although I had to tweak the brakes a bit. "Holy moly!" I thought to myself, giving flashbacks on when I had to frustratingly try to figure out how to put together the individual, small pieces of a mechanical mountain bike a year ago for the first time. Thankfully, practically everything was already pre-assembled.Ride performance was VERY clean, smooth, and comfortable thanks to its fat tires and front suspension to smooth out bumps and rocky terrain. There was no rear suspension, and so keep that in mind if you want to take it hardcore trail riding down the mountain (not to mention needing to remove the rear rack and swapping the wide seat with a MTB-approved one to be safer.) The motor's 750W of (nominal) power was very strong. That meant a very sudden, rapid speed increase that could feel out of control at times. My mom is 5'1" tall, the manufacturer claims a design for persons of at least 5'2" height, but she comfortably mounted and dismounted without a single complaint. I test-rode it myself and wow, it definitely accelerated much faster than my Googo, and so I was confident it could handle hills better than mine -- and it did indeed! The MultiJoy had a very clean, streamlined look with cables tucked away nicely. Its 75+ lbs, however, would not be something many riders would be happy to carry around.Shifting between the 7 gears was effortless, and the fat tires gave a very satisfying sound while smoothly zipping around the neighborhood park and up a few climbs. Power Assist (PAS) was available in multiple, and speed topped at a FAST (and illegal) 28 mph without a rider (default was 20mph and I changed it to 28mph). Legally, electric bikes cannot go faster than 20 mph to fall under the United States Class 2 designation, and in California, only Class 2 can ride on Class 1 bike paths. What does that mean? This bicycle's motor was too fast to legally operate in California, but thankfully, the speed did drop to 25 mph with either my mom or myself riding on it. Either way, be sure to check with your local and State laws before you push the MultiJoy to its top speed.Electronic controls found on the left side of the handlebar were easy to use and managed the headlight, horn, PAS level, power, and color display. The screen was easily readable under direct sunlight and provided a nice set of information, including battery and Power Assist levels, speed (current, average, max) in mph or km/h, trip time and odometer, and more. Power is activated through the twist throttle on the right-hand side handlebar. The 960Wh-capacity, Li-Ion battery (20Ah @ 48V) is the largest I have tested yet. That gave the MultiJoy a VERY significant advantage over any of the bikes I had previously tested, including my Googo's 360Wh. Longer runtimes with a more powerful motor, although also with more weight: 27-51 miles on fully-electric and 66-89 miles with pedal assist (the manufacturer did claim more conservative numbers.) My past experience found that it should theoretically be able to handle at least 150 miles with PAS only used for short uphill climbs. I prefer pedaling most of the time for exercise/health purposes and only invoke the motor just enough to get up a hill. Let it sink it... 960Wh battery with 150-mile range when motor is only used to assist with uphill portions of street biking.Another important factor to be aware of: the battery cells are made by Tier 1 LG, a reputable electronics company and battery manufacturer. This means that the batteries should be some of the safest available. Interestingly, this MultiJoy Spaniel is one of the few bikes that actually uses the USB-C interface to charge instead of something proprietary. Kudos to you, MultiJoy!Two keys were included and required to operate the bike. So, do NOT lose them! The battery was locked to the top of the down tube and removing it was convenient and easy. This allowed the battery to be removed and charged at work by the desk.Front wheel skewer is the quick-release type for easy swapping, but keep in mind that this also makes it easier for someone to steal the tire. Be sure to bring the appropriate locks and chains. The rear rack most likely cannot carry more than 50 lbs -- a number most commonly cited by manufacturers. The Spaniel was a joy to spin, and the build quality and riding comfort were top-notch. For me, personally, the 750W motor provided for a very smooth acceleration, but keep in mind that it could scare a beginner rider for the first time when that initial power kicks in. I felt solidly in control and the suspension worked well in conjunction with the fat tires to even out the effects caused by rocky or shaky terrains. Also keep in mind that its top speed of 26mph is far higher than the federal or State limit of 20mph. Going at that fast of a speed could be extremely dangerous for the rider and those around. Solid bicycle, otherwise.BIKE OR SCOOTER?Electric scooters are more nimble to move around with -- and in some cases, more fun -- but local laws may prevent them from going onto the same paths as electric bicycles. Most can also be carried around more easily due to their more compact size and lighter weight. Personally, I prefer bikes because they are safer to operate, can (usually) go onto the same places that mechanical bicycles can operate, are (generally) allowed to carry an additional passenger, and if the battery runs out or fails, you can still pedal around. A scooter would stop to function without a battery.
Amazing bike and great customer service. I initially bought this bike as a gift for my husband and was really excited for him to receive it because this is his first e-bike. But there was a bit of misunderstanding on the measurements because when we received it, it turned out to be too big for him (He’s 5ft’ 5). So we reached out to customer service about a refund, and heard back from them in such a short time willing to exchange it!I was really hoping to receive the bike just in time for my husband's birthday gift, and it did! Arrived sooner than expected. It was easy to assemble once he unboxed it. It was just the right size for him, so it has been easy to ride, runs smoothly! He loves it. But before purchasing, keep in mind this bike is generally more suitable for tall peeps, so make sure you check the measurements! But overall, I definitely recommend, I want to buy one for myself now LOL.
Excellent electric bike with very good battery. this bike has a powerful battery, it has the motor with enough power to pull you up a hill with ease, the only thing you have to watch is to not go too fast. it is solid and somewhat heavy to lift, requires two people. but it is well made. tires are good and very wide, no problems with irregularities in road or trail, suspension is very good and more than adequate. I am very happy with this bike. thank you very much
Good for bigger guys. Just got the bike. First charge took longer than expected, but the bike is great quality and very strong. I'm a bigger guy, (250lbs) and it has no problem getting me around.
Awesome Bike. The media could not be loaded.  This bike is so cool! Assembly out of the box was super easy and took me just a short time. This bike looks super aggressive with the fat tires and sturdy frame. I’ve never really rode an e-bike before but this one I hopped right into. The pedal assist and over all motor function are great. I can’t wait to take it on the beach for my fishing trips! Overall I love this amazing bike!
An Awesome Bike. I’m an older man in my early 70’s and this is my first e-bike, and it’s the best bike I have ever owned. This bike is awesome!!The bike arrived on time as scheduled and it was smartly packaged to protect all the components during shipping and transportation. It was easy to assemble. In addition to reading the user manual instructions, I also watched a couple of YouTube videos which helped me a lot in assembling the bike by myself. The bike performs as advertised. This is a well-made bike. It’s sturdy and well designed. All the functioning elements such as shifting, brakes, electronics work great. The bike has a lot of torque and its very powerful. The fat tires provide excellent traction and provide a very comfortable ride. The bike is fun to ride, and I am looking forward to enjoying it to the max during the upcoming summer. I believe that the name MULTIJOY is a well-chosen name for this bike because it has already greatly enhanced my daily touring.
Came with tools We were riding in minutes! We love the fat-tire bike. This is how the battery component came. Each bike was different. We charged all 3 in separate 15-20 amp receptacles overnight…all were FULL by morning. One bike came full, but according to very decent (definitely updated since some of the translation problems: they have literally printed giant stickers and changed the pages), now making it very easy to put together. All three came with needed tools. Be sure to read the safety instructions , this bike is a very heavy-duty fast rider. Learn the brakes, and then the throttle. Always brake the rear brake first if possible. So far, we are having a blast riding our MultiJoy bikes. All 3 had enough charge for a quick ride right after we assembled. They are truly joyful and fun. Thank You
Great ebike. Just got our ebike this week. Was easy to assemble and company support was great. Will update more once we get a chance to get out and ride it.Update: love this bike! Is beefy and runs good. The company has been very supportive with questions.

First Impression. Just came in today, assembly wasn't too challenging but will require some patience! Battery life was about 50% out of the box right at 3 bars. Took it for a 6 mile ride and had 2 bars when I returned. I like that you can choose to use single or both motors and you can really feel the difference especially up hill. Single motor is absolutely enough for this bike so having 2 is well I can't wait until my battery is fully charged. The bike is pretty big so it's nice that it folds and fits into my closet with another bike! I got up to 35 mph on a flat surface maxed out with ease ( I'm 170lbs ) I believe it can go faster. Love the paint, the frame is solid, the tires are massive I don't do much off road usually just bike trails so I won't be putting those to the test much. I have another ebike 500w single motor and the difference is nite and day! Kind of expensive but still cheaper than most of the more popular brands. Definitely worth the purchase if you want something fast and fun! I'm glad that I bought it!Update! Maybe download a speedometer to compare with the one on the bike if you get one. Initially I thought I was going 35mph but I went for a ride with a friend. She was riding my other bike which actually gets up 21-22mph. She kept passing me but I was in PAS 2 and the speedometer said that I was going 25mph. Long story it's off by 2 or 3 mph could be the settings IDk. I still got up to 32-33mph which is still plenty of speed for me. Bike feels like a tank especially when using both motors. Using both motors uphill is a breeze but if you want to be able to get the most distance one motor is fine and the bike is still fast. Battery life depends on how much you use dual motor as well. All around I'm satisfied with the purchase and really enjoying it!
Game Changer. This bike is soooo cool!! There are many features worth mentioning:1. First off, it showed up on time and in good condition. Easy enough to assemble, took about an hour.2. The folding option was critical for us because of lack of space in the garage, and it folds so easily. The bike really is quite heavy (60-70 lbs), so hanging it on the wall was just not an option.3. The ride is smooth and easy to control. The fat tires help with that. The Pedal assist is easy to work and kicks in quite smoothly. With the 5 levels of assist, choose your difficulty. We really haven't used the full throttle much, but it is nice for a quick burst if you need it.4. Battery life will tell with time, but so far this has been no problem at all. The charging is quick for that size of battery and has lasted very well in the 5ish times we've used it so far. Longest trip was 14 miles while hauling 2 kids in a chariot attached to the back axle, and the battery barely went down at all.5. The folding pedals are great for storage as well. The headlight and horn make it feel more like a moped than a mountain bike sometimes, but that's okay. The only things I would make note of that are not ideal are:1. The seat post which isn't standard size, which makes certain attachments more difficult.2. The weight is due to the battery, motor, and solid-construction frame, so I get it, but it is very heavy.3. The instructions for assembly were not great, but it was pretty obvious what was needed.4. The cross bar is a bit high to step over for someone that is 5'6", but fairly easy for someone over 6' tall.5. The brakes are not as responsive as I would like. Again, this bike is heavy and you can end up going pretty fast especially downhill, so braking is important for obvious reasons. I find myself squeezing pretty hard on both front and rear brakes at times when I need to stop quickly, which is not what I'm used to on my mountain bike that would stop on a dime and throw me over the handlebars if I did that.Overall, we are super impressed with this bike and very satisfied with our purchase! 5/5 Stars!
UPDATED! Still going strong...Great bike and customer service. UPDATED 4/2/24It's been over a year and 300+ miles since I purchased my TTEbike 1000w Folding Electric Bike and I continue to be impressed with the durability and quality of this bike! I live in Arizona and have had the opportunity to use this bike in a variety of terrain conditions and I can attest to the fact that this bike is a beast that can handle whatever you throw at it. I do a decent amount of off-road bike rides and this bike can stand up to the punishment. I've had to tighten down a couple of bolts just due to the intense off-road conditions and should be checked regularly if you do any off-road riding. Other than that, the bike has been flawless! One upgrade I highly recommend (for those who do any off road riding) purchase some decent Tire liners to prevent flat tires. In the desert here in AZ it's almost unavoidable that you will get a flat tire due to a thorn, nail, etc. Avoid the aggravation and install tire liners to prevent punctures from occuring in the first place. I also purchased some self sealing tubes as well as an additional layer of protection. No hesitation in recommending this bike. It's legit!ORIGINAL REVIEWI had been looking for a while for an electric mountain bike and did some extensive research. I wanted a bike that was durable enough to take off road but could also fold and fit in the back of my SUV. I opted for this bike due to the performance and features and the reasonable price point. I am happy to say this bike fit the bill and I have not been disappointed. The bike arrived well packaged and required attachment of the pedals, handle bars, front wheel, rear rack and headlight. Easy to do if you have any familiarity with bikes. I did encounter an issue with the battery pack where the outside case had a defect. I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and attentive the customer service team replied and responded to my issue and quickly sent a new replacement battery to me. I also had a few general questions about settings on the bike and received prompt replies to all my questions. If there was one area of improvement I would say the packaging instructions could be better and more detailed. As for performance of the bike, I have been really impressed. It’s a big beefy bike that has plenty of power and rides smooth on asphalt and handles the bumps of off road riding with ease. I rode 20 miles on my first ride and it was a breeze and very easy to operate. I am 5’10” and it fits me perfect but may be a little tall for someone shorter. If you’re looking for a solid folding electric mountain bike with good performance features at a reasonable price, I would highly recommend this bike.

Great features and comfort. I just finished riding first 15 miles on my new Tesway bike and I am very impressed with its comfort and features so far. I did thorough reserch prior to purchasing this bike and I think it is one the best values for an investment of under $1,000. The riding position feels very natural for a person with my height of just over 6 feet. The 27.5" wheel size seems to be perfect for a rider who prefers to pedal most of the time, but needs some help uphill and on long rides. The tire size provides confort ride on variety of surfaces. The battery charge level didn't change after my first 15 miles, which gives me some confidence that I can go on much longer rides without worrying if I will be able to make it back. This bike also looks nicer than most of competition due to its sleek design and battery incorporated into the frame. One thing that makes me think about not giving it the top rating is false weight information advertised on Amazon. It shows 44 pounds, but the actual weight with the battery is 61 pounds. I was suspicious about this even before the purchase considering that this bike comes with metal fenders and back rack. I usually mount my bikes on my car's roof, but I will need to invest in a good trunk mounted rack now as this one is too heavy to be lifted that high. This is still a minor sacrifice considering all the features that my new Tesway offers. I will probably purchase a more comfortable seat as well.More details are likely to come after I ride several hundred miles on different trail surfaces.
Tesway bike. Easy to assemble, rides nice. Can’t wait to ride it more

Best purchase this year. My husband and I bought these to take on our camping trips but have decided to sell our regular beach cruiser bicycles and use these exclusively. Love the pedal assist! Smooth ride and fairly easy to put together. The bike is sturdy and will get a lot of use! Now I just need to order the basket.
Love It. Communication was great. My husband and I love these. This was a fabulous deal. The bikes are awesome. This is a great way to exercise for people that are not in excellent shape. It's fun and we can bike ride with our kids again. If you're thinking about getting an electric bike this is is the one.My husband put these together himself. He's not very handy. So if he can do it anyone can.
Exceeds My Expectations. This is My 90 day update. My Heybike Mars is still exceeding my expectations and I am still having a lot of fun ebiking with my dog. Being vertically challenged at 5'4" tall one adjustment I have been able to make is raising the seat post 2" higher now that I have become more accustomed to starting off, when stopped and riding. I began riding at the lowest possible position on the seat post. This is a wonderful investment for my mental and physical health. Also, sliding this ebike up and down the stairs of my second floor apartment has become much easier and safer. Very pleased and would recommend a purchase and now that Heybike has come out with their new Mars 2.0, 750w ebike is even more of an incentive. It is apparent that Heybike is dedicated to innovation and customer satisfaction.I am 68 years old and have not ridden a bicycle since I was in my early twenties. I have been riding my new Heybike Mars ebike for the past 4 days and it is great fun. I feel like a young kid again riding around and exploring the great outdoors with my dog,I live in the Central California Mountains. Most of my riding is along urban roads and a little trail riding. We have a lot of very steep paved hills in this area and this ebike with the PAS helps me to get right up them and the throttle gives me the option to rest when I want. This Heybike Mars ebike is a great addition to my daily cardio workout and having my dog running next to me or having her laying down behind me safely secured in her cargo basket is an additional joy and time together outside. I have the option to make my ride as easy or hard as I want it to be.I purchased this Heybike Mars ebike from Amazon and with this purchase I also ordered the front cargo basket which was included with my purchase of the bike. The rear modified cargo basket you see in the photo was ordered from the Radio Flyer Company. This is the perfect size cargo basket for my dog Tasha (30lbs) to safely lay down in when we ride. Being able to fold this 66 lbs ebike in half makes wheeling it upstairs to my second floor apartment much easier and store inside. The ebike was 90% pre-assembled and it took me maybe an hour to assemble the rest. I am sure this could be done sooner but I took my time. I am 5’4” tall and this ebike, like most, for riders like me does ride a bit tall. I am able to sit on the seat with my toes on the ground when I am stopped. I am getting used to getting on and off the bike and using the PAS 1 mode makes my take off much easier. I really have no complaints with this Heybike Mars ebike. It has in a lot of ways exceeded my expectations. The Heybike customer service has been wonderful. Anytime I have had a question about the ebike within a few days I have received a response and answer. Happy with the investment I have made and with the Heybike company.Tasha and I are having a lot of fun riding around Tuolumne County here in the California Mountains!!! Thank you Heybike!! What a JOY!!!Satisfied Heybike ebike riderMark Bidema
Nice bike. Nice bike. Has a throttle issue but the company sent me a new one. Very happy so far.
Fast shipping easy to assemble. Ordered these bikes after reading reviews and I can’t be happier. They arrived quickly and were easy to assemble. Used them twice and they needed a few minor adjustments. Tech support was quick to answer and there are utube videos to help adjust the speed settings. They ride very nice have plenty of power and battery life seams to be good have not actually used them enough to get a feel for the battery life.
Ordered Blue Mars, but got a LEMON Defective. Received the Mars bike, during assembly the following defects/damage was noted.Rear wheel has wicked wobble, out of alignment when doing the peddling by hand to test the gears. The whole bike shakes like a wet dog.The battery could not be installed because when the seat height hardware was put on it was jammed crooked blocking the battery tray opening. Had to disassemble hardware then pry it open to move it into correct position. The handlebars post to front wheel steering will not tighten. (The bolt gets tight but bars are loose)There is play where the handles bars move but the wheel doesn’t. (How long before this gets dangerous). The suspension is terrible. Under seat pos shocks sticks and front shocks stick as well.I have sent the seller Ebike Online 7 messages and each time requested a return label with pickup service and each time the seller has offered parts, and discounts for me to keep this defective unit. And still no label!FYI- I discovered the Mars has been discontinued for the Mars 2.0 may be why seller wants me to keep it even though it’s a defective nightmare with 1.4 miles on it. It’s a LEMON!I DO NOT RECOMMEND AND ONE WAY ORTHE OTHER IT’S BEING RETURNED!
First off we bought our bikes, this is an honest review not one written after receiving free or discounted products. Waited a couple weeks of use to review, we ride our Heybikes daily for a leisure ride. I chose the Mars for its more rugged look compared to the wife's Cityscape. We stick to paved trails and some dirt trails in a local national park. I have only charged the battery once after 40 miles logged, I still had two bars on the battery life showing. Pedal assist works great, you can ride forever it seems without working up a sweat. I have changed from the factory three levels to five in 25 % increments 0-5; seems to work good. My wife was not a bike rider , now with these, she wants to go out and ride 1-2times a day.The bike easily does 20+ mph and feels very secure for being a folding bike which surprised me. I wanted to try the folding feature, so yesterday in my 5ft short bed Colorado I did and it was easy to fold, lift into the bed and remove and unfold again. Riding the Mars is very comfortable, I only inflated to 10 -12 psi in the fat tires and all seems great, no big bumps when going over the road curbs and speed bumps.Seat is cushioned and works well with the added springs, but perhaps a larger seat is a future purchase ? Added items include a rearview side mirror, moving the brake and display to accommodate was not an issue, plenty of cable movement available. Picking a rear storage bag is going to be tough as the rack is a little wider than average, around 7" be mindful of that. Why the older version of the Mars, it was cheaper than the Mars 2.0, we are not rich and it was a still a brand new bike with full warranty. It is better, I do not know ? The Mars meets all my needs and probably can do things I may never test it for, all I know is this is a great bike for the $1 K it cost me. I was using my dad's $ 2.5 K ebike before deciding on which one I wanted, his may be a little faster but they like alike and have the same features. My Diamondback Motown traditional mountain bike will be collecting dust now. If all you want is a quality bike to leisurely ride around this is your bike, it may be capable of even do so much more that I have not tried yet. One month since purchase we use bikes 2X / day; hope this helps others on the fence about this or other "Heybike" bikes.
My wife and I are in our 60's and we wanted and had been looking at e-bikes for quite a while. We saw these on Amazon.ca and we thought the price was about what we wanted to pay. So we bought two bikes. (one white for the wife and black for myself). We bought these and they came with color displays which washed out by the sunlight. Couldn't see a thing on them plus the printing on the screen was so small which could have required magnification. We contacted Heybike and within a few short days we had new black and white displays which we found much easer to read and easy to install. Good quality folding e-bike with many features. I get about 30Kph (25mph) speed in high gear with pedal assist but with a fully charged battery you could achieve this speed without pedaling. So far we have ridden about 25 kms and the battery is still on full but i will charge them up just the same before our next ride. I would recommend a Heybike. I'll update this review if they don't live up to expectation but so far so good. oh and pedaling on grass or dirt is as easy as peddling on pavement. Going up hill is also easy and if you have to stop for a road crossing the throttle is easy to get you going again. Sand or rain I'm likey not to try as I think each of these could kill them. I highly recommend a Heybike Mars or a Heybike of any model. Good quality.
This is a very solid e-bike, and lots of good performance for a great price! The control panel is not bad, but not obvious. The manual is not very helpful, since it doesn't match the actual control panel! I had to dig through a few YouTube videos to find accurate information (and some is just wrong... support responded to me and asked me to do all sorts of work, posting all over the place to give them information to correct their own manual). I still have no idea how to clear the trip odometer. The common controls, though, are up and down pedal assist levels, and that's easy!I suggest you reprogram the pedal assist level 0-3 to 0-5 (I set mine to 0%, 25%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%). 2 is great around pedestrians, 4 is great on the road, and 5 when you really want to GET THERE FAST. I live where there are a ton of hills, and this handles all of them no problem. The motor does the job fine! This bike is built for medium or tall people, it looks small but it can handle riders from about 5'5" to over 6" easily.Brakes are fine, they're disc brakes but cable brakes instead of hydraulic which is I suppose expected for this price range. There's a *super solid* rack on it but the frame does not have many spots to attach locks, bags, water bottles, etc. You'll want a rack bag or pannier or something.Putting it together takes a little while (1h or a bit more), despite what some reviews claim... be prepared to do some work, and take your time, you only have to do it once. Note it's also quite heavy, you won't be hauling it up and down stairs.Don't let my complaints lessen the fact that this is an incredible bike. It's great!! Easy to ride, super comfortable, and good power. Incredible value.
The HeyBike Mars was SUPER easy to setup and was ready to ride right away! The HeyBike support team has been very responsive to my general inquiries, and my only complaint so far was the quality of the promotional lock that I got for free as part of the purchase. It will be replaced by another promotional item as soon as their warehouse is replenished, because they’re lock was a piece of junk. Nowhere near the quality you want to have when it comes to securing such a wonderful e-bike!!!
Great Bike. comfortable, Solid, Good speed, Good looking bike.So far so Good.
